Insight That Makes a Difference
Your First Step Toward Clarity with a Neuropsychological Evaluation
A neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of how the brain functions and how it impacts thinking, learning, memory, and behavior. These evaluations provide critical insights that help identify strengths, clarify difficulties, and guide treatment or support strategies.
Whether recommended by a physician or sought out due to personal concerns, a neuropsychological evaluation can bring understanding and peace of mind.

Why Choose Dr. Ghilain?
Dr. Ghilain takes a comprehensive, individualized approach to every assessment. Unlike simple screening tools, her evaluations examine multiple areas of brain functioning, including attention, memory, language, executive functioning, learning, and problem-solving skills.
By identifying both areas of strength and difficulty, each client receives a personalized roadmap that can guide academic planning, workplace strategies, therapy, or medical care. Families and individuals leave with knowledge, direction, and actionable next steps for moving forward.
What Dr. Ghilain Does
Dr. Ghilain provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults with known or suspected neurological, developmental, psychological, or psychiatric conditions that may affect thinking, learning, memory, or behavior.
Her evaluations are designed to:
- Identify areas of cognitive strength and resilience
- Pinpoint areas where challenges may exist, such as attention, memory, language, or executive functioning
- Explain the links between the behaviors we see and what is happening in the brain
- Discuss the
brain bases of behavior, helping clients and families understand how brain function relates to emotions, learning, and everyday actions
- Provide a clear, personalized plan for improvement and support
By understanding both strengths and difficulties, clients leave with a roadmap to thrive—whether that means strategies for school, work, daily living, or ongoing treatment.
Evaluations Tailored to You
What Makes Dr. Ghilain Different?
Dr. Ghilain is committed to truly personalized, high-quality care. She believes clients are far more than a set of test scores, integrating information from interviews with family, observations she makes during the testing sessions, and conversations with other members of the client's care team. Though she has trained psychometrists (individuals who work under a doctor's license to administer psychological tests) and published the first book of its kind outlining minimum standards for psychometrist training in 2021, she chooses to personally administer each assessment to ensure every evaluation reflects the client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Her dedication extends beyond the testing session—she remains available for ongoing consultation, helping clients, families, and professionals put recommendations into practice for lasting success.
